At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to death penalty.
That was then the “worst” death. Only the worst criminals could die like Jesus.
And with Jesus things were worst, because not all the criminals condemned to death
could receive nails on their hands and feet.

Of course, nails… Big nails!
Each was 15 a 20 cm long, with a point of 6 cm. Another point was sharp.

The nails were craved into the pulses, and not into the palms, as we are used to hear.
In the pulse, there’s a tendon which extends till the shoulder,
and when the nails were being hammered, that tendon broke,
obliging Jesus to reinforce all the muscles of his back,
so that he could breath as He was loosing all the air from his lungs.

In this way, He was forced to support Himself onto the nail craved in his feet,
which was bigger than those craved into his pulses, for both feet were craved together.
And, as his feet could not endure for long time without tearing,
Jesus was forced to alternate that “cycle” so that He could breath.

Jesus endured that reality over 3 hours.
Yes, over 3 hours! Long time, isn’t it?
Few minutes before He died, Jesus was not bleeding anymore.
He was simply pouring water from his cuts and holes.

When we imagine Him injured, we only picture Him with injuries, but it is not enough;
His wounds were true holes, made in his body.
He had no more blood to bleed, He only poured water.

Human body is composed by near 3.5 litres of blood (for adult).
Jesus poured all 3.5 litres of his blood;
He had three nails hammered into his members;
a crown of thorns on his had and, beyond that,
a Roman soldier who nailed a spear into his chest.

All these without mentioning the humiliation He passed after carrying his own cross for almost 2 kilometres,
while the crowd spat on his face and throwed stones
(the cross was almost 30 kg of weight, only for its higher part, where his hands were nailed).

Jesus had to pass all this experience, so that you can have free access to God.
So that your sins could be “washed”. All of them, with no exception!
Don’t ignore this situation.
HE DIED FOR YOU!.
For you, who now read this e-mail.
Do not believe that He only died for others
(those who go to the church or for pastors, bishops, etc).
He died for you!
It is easy to pass jokes or foolish photos by e-mail, but when it comes to God,
sometimes you feel ashamed to forward to others because you are worried
on what they may think about your moral.

Accept the reality,
the truth that JESUS IS THE ONLY SALVATION FOR THE WORLD.

God has plans for you, show all your friends what He experienced to save you.
Now think on this!

May God bless your life!

The sensational Contemporary Christian Music Band “Sonicflood” will be visiting the Philippines for the first time (i think)

Mga Fans ng Sonicflood TAKE NOTE OF THAT!

It was a very wise decision for both Gabby Concepcion and his new manager Mrs. Rose Flaminiano to stick to TV first.

Isang malaking presscon ang ibinigay ng ABS-CBN last Friday, April 4, para sa nagbabalik-Pilipinas na si Gabby to announce his being an exclusive Kapamilya star. Members of the entertainment press who saw his rise and departure were teary eyed as Gabby approached each one of them with a hug and, suddenly, they were starstruck once again to see the top matinee idol of the ’80s back after 13 years.

No-holds barred ang naging interview kay Gabby, who answered most of the questions put forward by the press.

Sa tanong kung for good na ba ang pagbabalik ni Gabby, sinagot niya ito that he’d “like to stay for good, pero may buhay na rin ako doon [sa U.S.], so I can only stay as long as possible.”

Pero depende pa rin daw sa kalalabasan ng kanyang pagbabalik-showbiz which he always says he misses so much.

Gabby signed a five-year contract with his new manager and a two-year contract with ABS-CBN. May pinirmahan na rin siyang contract for the film arm of the Kapamilya station, ang Star Cinema.

His first project will be an episode sa Maalaala Mo Kaya.

As to his contract, sinabi ni Gabby that “there are negotiations being done right now to remedy the situation.”

“I’m not comfortable with the story, or the script itself,” sabi ni Gabby. “Noong storyline pa ito, maganda talaga. But there’s a big difference between the storyline and the script that they gave me.”

Hindi man nabanggit during the main presscon itself, nagpaliwanag muli si Gabby sa mga one-on-one interview niya with the other press people na willing siyang isoli ang down payment worth more than one million pesos kung makakatulong ito na ma-resolve ang problema.

It says in full:

“It is not about Gabby. It is not about money. It’s about the principle that people in showbiz should learn how to honor their commitments.

“Gabby has a live contract with us. He has been consulted in every step of the production. We expect him to honor his commitment and we will enforce that he has signed with us.”

President Bush and President Putin meet in the castle in Bratislava

Both leaders were keen to stress areas of common ground

US President George W Bush has told Russian President Vladimir Putin of his “concerns” about Russian democracy.

Following talks in the Slovak capital Bratislava, Mr Bush told reporters he had expressed these worries in a “constructive and friendly way”.

Mr Bush said they agreed that Iran should not have nuclear weapons.

The US has concerns about Russian nuclear co-operation with Iran. Mr Putin has said there is no evidence that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons.

Washington has repeatedly accused Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons. It is also concerned about Russian arms sales to Syria.

All the modern institutions of democracy… should be adequate to the current status of the development of Russia, to our history and our traditions
Vladimir Putin

A senior US official speaking to reporters on condition of anonymity, said the summit had not produced any breakthroughs on either issue.

At a joint news conference at Bratislava Castle, the two leaders stressed their close ties and agreed to accelerate efforts by Russia to gain entry to the World Trade Organization.

However, the BBC’s Moscow correspondent, Damian Grammaticas, reports that when it comes to the details of the issues they discussed, the two men appear to be on divergent paths.

‘Russia chooses democracy’

President Putin told reporters that Russia had chosen democracy “independently”, not because of pressure from outside.

“Any return to totalitarianism would be impossible,” he said.

President Bush meets Slovaks in Bratislava

But he added that democracy must be adapted to Russian conditions, taking into account “our history and our traditions” – and he said that comparing which of the two countries had more or less democracy was “not the right thing to do”.

Mr Bush said: “Democracies always reflect a country’s culture and customs and I know that.

“But they have certain things in common. They have rule of law, and protection of minorities, a free press and a viable political opposition.”

The meeting with Mr Putin was the final event of a European tour aimed at healing divisions over the Iraq war. Mr Bush is now heading back to Washington.

Before the Bratislava summit began, Russia and the US signed a deal to control the spread of shoulder-fired missiles – seen as a growing threat to civilian aircraft.

They also agreed on better safeguards of nuclear materials.

Concerns on both sides

The US president has been under pressure from some senior US politicians to make it clear to Mr Putin that his friendship with the US is at risk unless he maintains Russian democracy.

Map

A senior administration official told journalists travelling with Mr Bush that Mr Putin had recently told the US president that the Russian people had a history of strong tsars, and that they were accustomed to government playing a strong role in their lives.

The official said President Bush had rejected that notion.

Russian concerns include the increasing US influence in former Soviet republics such as Georgia and Ukraine.

In a speech which correspondents say is likely to have annoyed Russia, Mr Bush addressed Slovaks in a snowy Bratislava square, praising the country’s stance as a loyal US ally.

Drawing applause from the crowd, Mr Bush praised the 1989 “Velvet Revolution” that defeated communism in the then Czechoslovakia.

“In recent times, we have witnessed landmark events in the history of liberty: A Rose Revolution in Georgia, an Orange Revolution in Ukraine, and now a Purple Revolution in Iraq,” he said, referring to the voters’ ink used in Iraq’s recent election.

So, I sought the help of my friends who are good in guitar playing. after a hundred years, sa wakas natuto din ako!!!

OK, BACK TO THE TOPIC….

yun nga minana ko pa yung gitarang yun, so ano pa bang aasahan? eh di luma na tapos biyak pa yung shell sa likod. may kasabihan nga si jeff “YOUR WISH IS A DAYDREAM AWAY” so yun, nangarap ako ng gising na sana magkaroon ako ng magandang gitara. EPEKTIB! ngayon lang January, I’ve got my new guitar.

(two daydreamers are better than one.. he..he!)

1. Makita sa Personal yung KUNG-FU KIDS!

2. Magroon ng Life-size na Voltes-five na Robot or kung hindi man, OK na rin yung Daimos…

so pansin nyo yung first two eh parang pambata, eto lang ang masasabi ko: “Though i am grown up, I still have the heart of a child”

3. sana Magkaroon ako ng Macbook.

4.SAna maka-jammin’ ko si James Taylor

5.Sana magkaroon ako ng Korg Workstation.

Si Lord may pagka-Clever talaga no? biruin mo, pagkalooban nya ba naman ang tao ng ability to dream? sino bang ibang pwedeng makaisip nun?

Para sa akin, yun dreams kasi motivates you to put your best foot forward and to go an extra mile!

sa madaling salita, dreams motivatres you to do your best…

The missing rib

Posted: April 4, 2008 in agape, phillios, eros...
A girl in love asked her boyfriend: “Tell me, who do you love most in this world?”

“You, of course!”

“In your heart, what am I to you?”

The boy thought for a moment and looked intently in her eyes and said, “You are my rib. In the Bible, it was said that God saw that Adam was lonely. During his sleep, God took one of Adam’s rib and created Eve. Every man has been searching for his missing rib. Only when you find the woman of your life will you no longer feel the lingering ache in your heart.”

After their wedding, the couple had a sweet and happy life for a while. However, the youthful couple began to drift apart due to the busy schedule of life and the never-ending worries of daily problems. Their life became mundane. All the challenges posed by the harsh realities of life began to gnaw away at their dreams and love for each other. The couple began to have more quarrels, and each quarrel became more heated.

One day, after a quarrel, the girl ran out of the house. At the opposite side of the road, she shouted, “You don’t love me!” The boy hated her childishness, and out of impulse retorted, “Maybe it was a mistake for us to be together! You were never my missing rib!”

Suddenly, she turned quiet and stood there for a long while. He regretted what he said, but words spoken are like thrown away water — you can never take them back. With tears, she went home to pack her things and was determined on breaking up.

Before she left the house, the girl said, “If I’m really not your missing rib, then please let me go.” She continued, “It is less painful this way. Let us go on our separate ways and search for our own partners.”

Five years went by. He never remarried but he had tried to find out about her life indirectly. She had left the country and came back. She had married a foreigner and divorced. He felt anguished that she never waited for him. In the dark and lonely night, he lit his cigarette and felt the lingering ache in his heart. He couldn’t bring himself to admit that he was missing her.

One day they finally met — at the airport — a place where there were many reunions and good-byes. He was going away on a business trip. She was standing there alone, with just the security door separating them. She smiled at him gently.

(b): “How are you?”

(g): “I’m fine.. How about you. Have you found your missing rib?”

(b): “No.”

(g): “I’ll be flying to New York on the next flight.”

(b): “I’ll be back in 2 weeks time.”

(g): “Give me a call when you get back. You know my number. Nothing has changed.” With a smile, she turned around and waved good-bye.

One week later, he heard of her death. She had perished in New York — in the event that shocked the world.

Midnight . Once again, he lit his cigarette. And like before, he felt the lingering ache in his heart. He finally knew that she was the missing rib that he had so carelessly broken.

It depends on whose hands

Whose Hands!

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan’s hands is worth about $33 million.
It depends whose hands it’s in.

A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Roger Clemens’ hands is worth $4.75 million.
It depends on whose hands it’s in.

A tennis racket is useless in my hands.
A tennis racket in Andre Agassi’s hands is worth millions.
It depends whose hands it’s in.

A rod in my hands will keep away an angry dog.
A rod in Moses’ hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it’s in.

A slingshot in my hands is a kid’s toy.
A slingshot in David’s hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hands it’s in.

Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in Jesus’ hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it’s in.

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ’s hands will
produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it’s in.

As you see now, it depends whose hands it’s in.
So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God’s hands because…
It depends whose hands it’s in.

This message is now in YOUR hands.
What will YOU do with it?

It Depends on WHOSE Hands it’s in!

INTERESTING CONVERSATION

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty.

He asks one of his new Christian students to stand and…..

Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son?

Student : Yes, sir.

Prof : So you believe in God?

Student : Absolutely, sir.

Prof : Is God good?

Student : Sure.

Prof : Is God all-powerful?

Student : Yes.

Prof : My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn’t. How is this God good then? Hmm?

(Student is silent.)

Prof : You can’t answer, can you? Let’s start again, young fella. Is God good?

Student :Yes.

Prof : Is Satan good?

Student : No.

Prof : Where does Satan come from?

Student : From…God…

Prof : That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student : Yes.

Prof : Evil is everywhere, isn’t it? And God did make everything. Correct?

Student : Yes.

Prof : So who created evil?

(Student does not answer.)

Prof : Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?

Student :Yes, sir.

Prof: So, who created them?

(Student has no answer.)

Prof : Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the
world around you. Tell me, son…Have you ever seen God?

Student : No, sir.

Prof : Tell us if you have ever heard your God?

Student : No , sir.

Prof : Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?

Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Prof : Yet you still believe in Him?

Student : Yes.

Prof : According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.

Prof : Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Prof : Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?

Prof : Yes.

Student : No sir. There isn’t.

(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Prof : Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light….But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it’s called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

Prof : So what is the point you are making, young man?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Prof : Flawed? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite,
something we can measure. Sir, science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and
magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Prof : If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class is in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it?…..No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Prof : I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it sir.. The link between man & God is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive.
